East Dorset Housing Association is a Registered Social Landlord
and not for profit organisation dedicated to the provision of high
quality, affordable housing and related services for local
people.
Our overall aim is to build thriving neighbourhoods where people
choose to live.
The Association also manages stock for East Dorset District
Council (EDDC) and operates a Private Sector Leasing scheme in
partnership with North Dorset District Council. It also manages a
portfolio of leasehold flats.
EDHA views resident involvement as instrumental to success and
already commits significant resources to tenant participation. We
employ a Resident Involvement Officer and an assistant, to
coordinate resident involvement activities.
East Dorset Housing Association is a member of the
Synergy Housing
Group alongside Purbeck Housing Trust and
Weymouth and Portland
Housing. Synergy Housing Group is a Registered Social Landlord
(registered with the Housing Corporation) - a 'not for profit'
provider of affordable housing and is the largest provider of
social housing in Dorset. The organization owns and manages over
9,000 affordable homes across Dorset and Hampshire. SHG also
develops new homes with a combination of private finance and grant
from the Housing Corporation.
