Services
One of EDHA's key objectives is to build sustainable
high quality homes. EDHA has an ambitious development strategy that
aims to maximise opportunities to provide quality, affordable,
homes to meet a wide range of local needs. We view development as
not just an exercise in house building but as a means of providing
attractive, energy-efficient homes that will enhance the community
and contribute towards its' sustainability.
The in-house team provides services to East Dorset
Housing Association, Weymouth & Portland Housing and Purbeck
Housing Trust. It is a service division and as such is a standalone
cost centre.
Our tenants recognise the role of
good quality, well-maintained homes. Asset Management is the
effective targeting of resources to where they can have the
greatest effect in raising standards, maximising value for money to
deliver good quality property.
Lifeline is an emergency alarm service provided by EDHA.
Lifeline is a small unit, which can be linked to your existing
telephone. It works with a simple-to-press pendant worn by
the client around their neck or on a wrist strap.
East Dorset
Housing Association provides a complete letting and management
service for privately owned properties in East Dorset.

East Dorset Housing Association manages the Housing Advice
Service on behalf of East Dorset District Council. This includes
giving advice to those with housing related problems and those who
may be homeless or threatened with homelessness.

Shared Ownership was introduced to help people who cannot afford
to buy a home outright. Through Shared Ownership you buy a
share of the property and pay rent on the remaining share, which
you do not own.

To help us manage our schemes and provide support to you Synergy
Housing Group employ Scheme Managers at our Extra Care Schemes and
Sheltered Housing Officers at our Sheltered Schemes.
