Homefinder Dorset

Homefinder Dorset is the choice based lettings scheme used by East Dorset Housing Association on behalf of East Dorset District Council. All empty social housing properties available to rent, in the East Dorset District Council area, are advertised through Homefinder Dorset .

All available homes are advertised every week in a range of locations; including Council Offices, Town and Parish Council notice boards, some local supermarkets as well as a recorded message on 01202 864236. The advert is also available at the bottom of this page and "interactively" via the EDHA-Online icon on the home page of this website.

If you are interested in becoming a tenant within the East Dorset District Council area, you first need to place your name on the housing register. An application form is at the bottom of this page. Please feel free to print a copy and fill in your details. You can either send it to us in the post or scan the completed and signed form then email it to info@edha.co.uk.

When you have registered you will receive a letter advising you of your banding and reference number. Homefinder Dorset uses a banding system - gold, silver and bronze – to identify housing need with those in the gold band being given the highest priority and those in the bronze band the lowest. You will need your reference number to be able to place a "bid" on a property.

You will need to check the advert every week from midday on Wednesday until midday the following Monday. If you see a property you would like to rent you need to place a "bid" for the property. A "bid" is you simply telling us you would like to rent the property. You can place a bid on line by registering on EDHA-Online, posting a pre-paid card, leaving a message on 01202 864228 or by sending an email to homefinder.dorset@edha.co.uk

All bids must be received by midday on Monday.
